Isostearic acid and its ability to induce psoriaform lesions in murine model

We would like to share with you our latest publication and discovery on the topic of the cream-induced psoriasis murine model. In this paper we show that the onset of psoriatic lesions and the systemic inflammatory response is not solely depend on Imiquimod stimulus, but also on isostearic acid. The branched long-chained fatty acid usually used to enhance formulation properties has a major influence in the development of observable skin changes, namely redness, thickness and scaling and on key inflammatory cytokines.
